This site is maintained by Ely Greenfield. First and foremost described as father, husband, and friend, if you’re at this site you’re more likely interested in his work as a developer. Ely has been a developer at Macromedia / now Adobe for over 10 years, with an extended vacation in the middle working for the best little startup you probably never heard of, E-Quill.
Over the years he’s worked on a variety of different products and technologies, from Desktop authoring tools to multimedia engines, Web Applications to browser add-ons, Workflow engines to Platform technologies. He currently works with a bunch of very smart engineers designing and developing the Flex SDK — the core compiler, framework , and MXML language for Adobe’s next generation RIA technology.
Why are About pages always authored in the 3rd person?

Hello! Great job with Flex Book component. It is really awesome component, but I can’t manage it to show text which is larger than the page. Actually it does show text with scroll bars (that is fine) but when I turn the page or just grab the corner, text resized and shown out of bounds of book for a second or so.
What I did:
I took your boundaries.mxml sample and changed it to show not only one letter but a large portion of text. I also changed LetterPage.mxml, I changed Label to Text, to show multiline text.
Please, can you help me to solve the problem with text larger than page height?
Thanks.

I want to publish an illustrated children’s book as an e-book. May I discuss it with you? I am a published author and screenwriter.
